White-eye bream is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Leuciscidae, which includes the daces, minnows and related fishes. This species is indigenous to Europe and Western Asia in the rivers draining into the Black, Azov, Caspian and Aral Seas, although it is invasive elsewhere.
