Cyclopes is a genus of anteaters commonly called silky anteaters. Cyclopes was formerly thought of as monotypic, consisting of just one species, the common silky anteater. A taxonomic review in 2017, including both molecular and morphological evidence, found that Cyclopes actually comprises at least seven species.
