The Greek smooth newt or Greek newt is a newt species found in the southern Balkans, from southern Croatia (Dalmatia) over Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia to Greece and south-westernmost Bulgaria.. An introduced population exists in Austria, close to Vienna.
